RCM was created as a division of La Roche 1949 Ltd in 1999, the reason for this was to produce and represent the other products that La Roche had in their range, so that La Roche could concentrate on their own manufactured range of Rebar Bending & Cutting Machinery.
RCM started with Concrete Vibration Equipment but then moved onto Concrete Finishing Equipment, Compaction Equipment and Construction Tools & Equipment. In 2001 RCM purchased to manufacturing rights to the well known Kennedy Rebar Bending Machines.
RCM Construction Equipment’s range of products includes Rebar Bending Machines, Rebar Cutting Machines, Spiral & Ring Machine for Rebar, Concrete Vibration Equipment, Concrete Power Trowels, Forward Plate Compactors, Reversible Plate Compactors, Steel Fixer Nips, Block Cutters, Generators and a Lighting Tower.
La Roche 1949 Ltd
La Roche 1949 Ltd was established in South London in July 1949 by Mr. Philip La Roche and manufactured a range of machinery which included Rebar Bending & Rebar Cutting Machines and Tube Bending Machinery.
In the 1970’s La Roche decided to add some new products to their range that would complement the Rebar Benders & Rebar Cutters. These were Concrete Vibration Equipment from Germany and Portable Rebar Benders & Rebar Cutters from Japan. In 1976 the business was sold, it was purchased by the Wylie family. The business was moved to Hornchurch in Essex and then approximately 10 years later to a larger premises in Romford, Essex. From 1987 La Roche expanded the range of Rebar Bending & Rebar Cutting Machines.
In 1999 La Roche created a division within the Company to handle the other construction based products they were producing and or representing in the UK. This was the start of RCM.
